Accommodation & Guardianship

For children below 12 years old who are coming to study in the UK, their parents can come along and stay with them. This means for children above 12 years old studying in the UK, they would need a guardian in the UK who can look after them. There are two kinds of guardianship we can provide, which is the live-in guardian and live-out guardian.

The majority of UK boarding schools require parents of international students to appoint a UK-based guardian. Some overseas parents have friends or relatives in the UK who are happy to undertake this responsibility, others have no one to help them. We have a network of guardians and we work with Guardianship companies that provide students with a secure and caring environment during their stay in the UK. It is beneficial to appoint a guardian who is located close to the school that the child is going to attend because the Guardian will not only accept legal responsibility for the child, but also need to provide the child with a place to live during school holidays or periods of illness. For students attending day schools, they will need to live with their guardians.

Higher Education students normally go for accommodation only. There are campus accommodation, off-campus private houses and private student accommodation providers. We can help students apply in time for any kind of accommodation and make sure they are happy with their choices.
